about Della Smith
I started my massage journey in Colorado Springs back in 1996 When I graduated from Colorado Springs Academy of therapeutic massage. On a side note that was so long ago they do not exist anymore. Since then I have had training in Lomi Lomi, Reflexology, Thai Yoga Massage, TMJ work, Abdominal massage, Stone therapy, every kind of spa treatment in numerous spas. Deep tissue, Swedish, Trigger point therapy, Manual Lymphatic drainage, Vibrational Sound Therapy, and as of the last few years Cranial Sacral therapy. I am a Reiki master. I have extensive training in meditation and Breathwork, Free style dance, 500 plus hours of Vinyasa and restorative yoga. I have lead a few Yoga retreats with my good friend Mindy and the traveling owls in Florida. So here I am opening up my own studio. A dream of having all my arts under the same roof. who am I,
We all have a story, a place of birth and so on. I am from southern Idaho, a little town called Sugar City. I have lived in 8 states that i can remember, held massage licenses in most of those. I have 2 beautiful children, Della Daisy and Gavin Bam. They are the most important humans on this planet to me.
I moved here to Sandpoint in 2020. I feel as if I have lived many lives here in this one body. I have loved swimming and still do, hiking and exploring. Now days you will find me in my studio working with clay or fiber or paint more than out on the open or not so open trails. I have loved sewing and quilting in my past life and find myself snuggling into those old quilts i made on a cold night. For the last four years i have enjoyed getting my hands in the garden soil, growing flowers and vegetables from seed, in my greenhouse. I have gathered fresh eggs from my hens. Watching baby lambs grow or die. Playing with their wool and learning about fiber.
I love this body I live in, I love and receive as much as you do when you are on my table. This work I do and have done for so long feeds my soul.
I loving asking the questions of who am I, where am I going and where did I come from? Why is life the way it is. why do we follow these strange rules? I ask questions about health and love and relationship. I ask questions about the stars and how we fit into those stars. I ask questions... I am trying to remember...
